Exposed beams retain some of the cottage’s original character and the living accommodation has been arranged in an open-plan style to create a spacious and bright feel. Visitors have shared use of the owner’s garden, which offers ample opportunity for a spot of al fresco dining. The cottage also makes a perfect base in the winter months, being heated by oil central heating and an atmospheric wood-burning stove in the sitting room.

Fuel, power and starter pack of fuel for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Shared use of large garden with private patio area, garden furniture and BBQ. Up to two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 4 miles, pub 2 mins walk. Note: This property is accessed via 14 stone steps and as such may not be suitable for the infirm. |

There are many popular seaside resorts along its coastline, including Whitby, Bridlington and Scarborough, as well as quieter villages and working harbours nestled among the rugged cliffs. The North York Moors, the Yorkshire Dales and part of the Peak District National Park offer wonderful opportunities for walkers, cyclists and climbers, as well as nature reserves for bird spotters and naturalists. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway carries more passengers than any other heritage railway in the UK and the National Railway Museum is to be found in the county capital city, York.
